Our Story
Founded in March 2002, the principals of idXtra already had over 25 years of experience providing security and identification solutions to the education sector. Initially focused on ID card issuance and software integration, we quickly recognised the broader needs of schools and colleges.
We developed a full range of integrated systems, from ID card through access control and cashless payment to attendance monitoring. All systems connect to MIS and Active Directory in real-time, giving customers a high level of control from a single platform.
Over time, we reduced dependency on third parties and built our own software modules: EventPOS for cashless catering, VisiTapp for visitor management, and EventMarker for attendance monitoring. This approach strengthened our market position and made it easier to support customers directly with speedy issue resolution.
Today, idXtra serves primary schools, secondary schools, FE colleges, MATs and local authorities across the UK, delivering solutions that are genuinely integrated and built for the education sector.
